Waterloo

You would think this to be a London-based label really, with the name and the imagery on the website, but Waterloo runs straight outta Buenos Aires in Argentina…
Waterloo
Digging into the pop culture of mainly the 1970s is no new thing to t-shirt designs. Waterloo does this with a keen eye, an updated sense and a subtle form of humour however. The results are rather successful, and I far on prefer these tees to a lot of the plain retro or re-issue designs out in the big pond today. Just look at the Clash piece. It works as an updated view on a good old classic mixing it with 1950s poster art and a 2000s overall whack.

I can’t find any info about the shirt stock used, but the geometrics give an indication of these being modern fit tees. They are available in girls and guys sizes, and even as tank tops in some cases. Prices are at US$24.95, and they ship more or less anywhere.

Hands On: The System

Here is another hands-on review. I spilled coffee on this, so I had to give it a wash before reviewing and it washes nicely at least…

The System

This monster print is really awesome, and if you look at the pictures further down in the review, beneath the “read more” mark, you will see that the print blends into the shirt really gracefully. The print is also slightly desaturated giving it a more organic feel and look. Be sure to have a look into the detailed print on the lower torso of this monster too. It is really quite nice.

The monster design is printed onto a Gildan heavyweight tee. I am not tot familiar with this cut, but it is not as fitted and slim as Am. App. and not quite as heavyweight as the Hanes 6.1 oz’s. It does however seem to be well proportioned and it washes really well, with next to no colour spillage. It also has good double seams, reinforced in the shoulders and neckline. It is tubular in construction and has a nice ribbed neck.

The shirt sells for a mere $13. The System also sells some other designs and a couple of wonderful one-offs. More pictures after the jump…

Suicidal

Suicidal
French cute-mongers have called their online shop for Suicidal. They have a lot of printed cute girlie stuff, various accessories and even some men’s tees. Most of these are in limited runs of around 30 pcs somewhere.

Individualitee

Individualitee
Although I cannot honestly say that this is my new favorite design tee outlet or anything, Individualitee has one of the most professional interfaces I have seen. You can choose from a list of twelve countries and receive full localisation of both product descriptions and sizes. The designs are set in multiple colours, sizes and shapes, and are printed on Hanes or AA, which are two top quality brands. There is a very good and sturdy description of the product and print so there should be no surprises.

There are a couple of nice designs out there, too. I like the classic cassette-cross bone piece, and this cloud design has a rockin’ colour scheme.

Tees start at about £15 and extend to around £21. Shipping seems to be fairly inexpensive, and the quality should be sharp.
