TEEES

- a guide to short sleeves

Hands On: The System

Here is another hands-on review. I spilled coffee on this, so I had to give it a wash before reviewing and it washes nicely at least…

The System

This monster print is really awesome, and if you look at the pictures further down in the review, beneath the “read more” mark, you will see that the print blends into the shirt really gracefully. The print is also slightly desaturated giving it a more organic feel and look. Be sure to have a look into the detailed print on the lower torso of this monster too. It is really quite nice.

The monster design is printed onto a Gildan heavyweight tee. I am not tot familiar with this cut, but it is not as fitted and slim as Am. App. and not quite as heavyweight as the Hanes 6.1 oz’s. It does however seem to be well proportioned and it washes really well, with next to no colour spillage. It also has good double seams, reinforced in the shoulders and neckline. It is tubular in construction and has a nice ribbed neck.

The shirt sells for a mere $13. The System also sells some other designs and a couple of wonderful one-offs. More pictures after the jump…

Jeremyville

I cant believe that I have not posted about this until now…
Jeremyville
Some of the nicest t-shirts I know of come from this venue in Sidney, Australia called Jeremyville. The illustrations on these shirts are just delightfully optimistic. The colours are just smashing - just look at the gelati print in their respective boy/girl colourings. The Lost at E Minor X Jeremyville print actually comes with four 1 inch buttons attached to it.

The tees are US$35 a piece incuding worldwide shipping. No hidden fees unless your tax officials say so.

Summer Sale: Crowded Teeth

Don’t miss out on this chance to get some awsome threads on the cheap as Crowded Teeth are having a summer sale to work up funds for their upcoming fall/winter collection.
Crowded Teeth
A good portion of their designs are now cut by 38%, retailing at a mere $15 a tee. The shirt base is American Apparel, and there are pieces out there for both guys and girls. Among my personal favorites are the various pattern prints. I actually ordered the Teru Teru Bozu hoodie even though it is only available in women’s large, hoping it will pass as a guy’s small. I hope it works out.

New Batch of Cupcakes

Johnny CupcakesJust a short notice that Johnny Cupcakes have made som updates to their line. An array of different small logo crossbone cupcake shirts as well as a bathing cake and more to be had. Top of the muffin!

FreshJive

Fresh Jive
Totally hot Freshjive designs have just been tossed in the spring/summer salad of ‘06. Just have a look a the imagery abobe. Be sure to check out their awsome brass knuckles all-over print, too. It is only available in sz large, but it really rocks.

The tees start at $20, and they also have lots of other sweet stuff going on. Be sure to eyeball those hoodies guys and gals. They kill.

Brazilian News: Camiseteria

Camiseteria
All the way over on the South American continent, some guys are printing up wonderful tees. It may not be that strange if you take the climate into consideration. These people are the ones really in need of cool combed cotton.

In any case they’ve got it now with these three new designs from Brazilian tee vendor Camiseteria. I think I’ve been through the conversion rates of their monies before, just search for it.

Art on Apparel: Poketo

A lot of you have probably seen these. I thought we hade written about Poketo before, but it seems we have not…
Poketo
Seemingly screened onto AA shirts, the designs over at Poketo are top quality pieces. They feature a sturdy continuum thoughout their gear even if there are a lot of artists involved in the production.

The shirts are limited in numbers, and retail at the pleasent mark of $24 a piece. S&H seems to run sub $4. And if you are not spending all your cash on tees, be sure to have a look at their wallets.
