Split The Atom
The likes of Threadless are getting a run for their money these days as numerous other internet t-shirt vendors are getting into the design submission game. Many of these also bring fresh views to the table…

One of these alternate sites is the Yorkshire based likes of Split The Atom. At £15 a shirt on an American Apparel base, these ought to go fast. They even have designs by greatness like The Boy Fitz Hammond, Maki and the wonderful Jon Burgerman, so it can’t really go wrong now can it? The only sad thing may be that the whole thing isn’t really anything new and several of the designs closely reseble the style of those from an above mentioned venture. If you get one printed, though, you’ll be two hundred and fifty quid richer.
Scribble Me This: Handsome Sausage

The hard core of Teees.com readers know what we think of doodle/ scribble/ sketch -styled apprel. That is right. We really love it. Handsome Sausage delivers these types of designs on good firm AA shirts. Their website is really strange and crypt-like in use, but I managed to gather this much:
Shirts are $20 and they accept payment through just about any means out there.
Cotton Factory

Fun things seem to have been going on over at The Cotton Factory. I think their designs are now looking way nicer than before. I still have no info on what these shirt are like even though readers have commented about potensially dodgy cloth in the past. They say to be imported 50/50 heavy weight.
The tees are $15 a go, and you still get the $5 discount if you join their newsletter.
Honest Tee
The “I heart NY” tee is a classic and all fashionable girls should have one. The problem is that many of us have never been to New York. Threadless printed a version for all of us that are to honest to wear the original without actually having been to NY. It sold out fast though and I was too late to get it. So I am happy to announce that Threadless had now reprinted it. I have already made sure to get one this time! It’s $17 for girls and $15 for guys.
Hecklewood Rides Again: Spring/Summer 06
In a great span of shiny strong colours, Hecklewood Apparel have unleashed their spring/summer of 2006 wonders. The illustrations follow the path of the last collection, but have become more consistant and more filmatic/dramatic in their motifs. The colours are sharper and crisper and the printing is now done with far superior water based inks as opposed to the plastisol inks more commonly utillized.

That being said, I am actually sitting here wearing a tee form their previos line, and the print quality of this is really good indeed (some of the best I’ve seen), and I am excited to see what the new line looks like, when it is supposed to be even better. I guess those water based inks have a lot to say as regards to the feel of the stuff, too.

Back to the teees… I really love the two similarily themed “Escape” and “Mr. Rockmore” designs. There are also a couple of brand spanking new designs for the girls, including a nice 80’s type sleeveless zippered hoodie.
…and did I mention the 3D design accompanied by custom goggles? I am stoked.
If you’re in Portland (OR) be sure to check out their store, too…
All That Juicy Jazz
I pitch these through even though everything seems to be sold out…

There are a couple of really nice jazz, clubbing and hip-hop inspired shirts over at Juicy Jazz which are well worth having a look at. I really love the Miles Davis -ish print and the tape recorder and cassette tape ones are less than shabby also.
Hope for Humaity
I sense some sort of idealistic undertones to this project as it is called Hope for Humanity Clothing. They are currently offering this through three nice designs printed on American Apparel shirts. There is only one of these currently in the store area, and it sells for a respectable $18. I’m curios to see what the future brings though.
Poll Roll
It is that time again. Well it’s almost overdue at 59 votes some might even say. In any case we are putting out a brand new query for you guys, but let us quickly review the previous one first.
Last time around we probed you about the dirt on your shirt. It is not a real surprise that the I (heart) NY design came out victorious. That one is a real classic, but taking it all in some of the others gave it a good run at least. What really surprised me was that the runner up was the “Choose Life” gig… hmm…
Anyways… This time around we’re wondering where you guys shop, thus what you will be wearing this summer, and we don’t give a chunk about your trunks, this is all about the tees, as always.
People: Get to it!
Lite Goes Heavy for the Spring

The latest gear from Jakarta based teesigners Lite Streetwear is really worth moving you eyeballs around for. It is some part indie, a large portion eighties, a punch of hip-hop glazed up with thug life. I mean… how can you not love that “metal disco class” piece? That “I DUB U” print rocks my world too.
If you want some of this, HURRY UP. At a maximum of 36 pcs per print, these are not to be taken for granted, and these are really moderately priced too mind you…
Jason Woodside: Aristic Tees
While strolling around through Bean Dip Cloting’s friends section (where we are also listed), I came accross two really nice tees on the store page of Jason Woodside’s site. These shirts sell for $20 in S to XL, and they are probably printed in limited runs.
My favorite is the “City Tee” design. There is actualy some graffiti near to where I live that looks a lot like this.
